Double Bag Trend - Hit or Miss?

So recently, Madame RiRi was seen sporting two bags while out and about. Now typically, I ignore fashion trends 'thought up' by Rihanna, as her last invention was... how shall I say... Less than satisfactory? I personally would like to burn every bucket hat ever made. But, weirdly enough, this one caught my eye. Not only because Alexander Wang has deemed it safe while presenting his AW collection for Balenciaga this year, but also because for a long time I have been waiting for a revolution in which doubling up items becomes mainstream! I can't even express to you guys how long I have dreamed to step out with multiple watches on my wrist, odd converses on my feet and layered jeans hanging from my waist! Finally that time has come to layer up items - multiply fashion!
So what do you guys think? Could layered items be a hit in our next fashion season? Are doubled bags a hit or miss?

The Animal in the 21st Century Woman

Who remembers that post on animalistic qualities? Well, here's a follow up - a sequel, if you will. I was taking a look at some of the 2015 Resort collections in detail and stumbled upon this collection by Christopher Kane, and it just made me squeal with delight! Let's be honest, the 'urban jungle' theme has been bled dry in fashion and although a surge in the popularity of animal print is great, the general consensus of it on the runway is "Been there, done that". However, something about this collection drew a different reaction out of me. As I looked at it, there was something about it that just shone and presented a completely new, unique interpretation of the 'urban jungle'. I saw the strength of women and the animal skins that we have to wrap around ourselves every day to be able to take on the challenges that are constantly being thrown our way. Whether that be emerging from that comfortable cocoon, spreading our wings and leaping into the unknown; intently studying our prey before crouching down low and pouncing; or spending all day foraging frantically to provide for our young.
For some reason, this collection just presented that to me. Strength. Maybe it's the colour combinations? That blood red on a backdrop of caramel - kindness and motherhood against courage and leadership. Maybe the actual designs? The corporate collar and 'ready-for-anything' Mary Poppins bag. Maybe the models? That determined and focused look in their eyes and simple, boyish hair.
Whatever it is, all I can say is - Christopher Kane? You did good.
